US Driving Written Test Practice
Overview
Section titled “Overview”The US driving written test covers traffic signs, traffic rules, safe driving techniques, and vehicle laws. This practice test includes questions similar to those on the actual test. Most states require a score of 80-90% to pass.
Traffic Signs Questions

Answer: b) Stop. A red octagonal (eight-sided) sign with “STOP” in white letters means you must come to a complete stop before the stop line or crosswalk.

Answer: c) 3 seconds. The 3-second rule provides adequate time to react and stop safely under normal conditions. Increase to 4-6 seconds in adverse conditions.

DUI/DWI Questions

Answer: c) 0.08%. All states have adopted 0.08% as the legal BAC limit for drivers aged 21 and over. Lower limits apply to commercial drivers (0.04%) and drivers under 21.
Question 11

Answer: b) Your license is automatically suspended. All states have implied consent laws — by driving on public roads, you consent to chemical testing when lawfully arrested for DUI.
